Rabjam Rinpoche: Support for Himalaya Project

October 19, 2011

Rabjam Rinpoche is the grandson of the great yogin, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and is the abbot of Shechen Monastery in Boudha, Kathmandu.  Khyentse Rinpoche had a dream near Boudhanath Stupa that he was to have a grandson that was the incarnation of three of his teachers, Shechen Rabjam, Shechen Kongtrul, and Shechen Gyaltsab.  This was later confirmed by the 16th Karmapa, whom Rabjam Rinpoche then received the pointing-out instructions on the nature of Mind as a young boy.

As abbot of Shechen Monastery in Kathmandu, Rabjam Rinpoche oversees Shechen Clinic and Hospice, Tsering Art School (school for traditional Tibetan thanka painting) and has made a focus of preserving the traditional Tibetan arts so they are not lost.  For this reason we are very grateful to have his support and blessing to continue our work in creating a school for Tibetan Buddhist Medicine in Dolpo so that this remote area has access to health care and that Tibetan Buddhist Medicine is preserved for future generations.

If you are inspired by our work and wish to contribute to Himalaya Project and the Dolpo School of Tibetan Buddhist Medicine, you may donate securely with PayPal at: www.himalaya-project.org

Even a small donation goes a long way.
